“Underlying all of science and medicine is a fundamental commitment to service.” – Kyu Rhee, MD, PhD
I’m Kyle Planck, a sixth year pharmacology PhD candidate at the Weill Cornell Graduate School of Medical Sciences in New York City.
I identify as many things:
- a scientist,
- a Latino,
- a member of the LGBTQ+ community,
- a first-generation college student,
- a Scorpio,
- a musician,
- and so much more (in no particular order).
But the most important thing you need to know about me is that I have a passion for making our world a healthier place.
A science communicator in training, I’m extremely invested in sharing the work I do as a biomedical scientist with the public (yes, that includes you!) Head over to my Writing page to learn more about what I do in the lab, what I hope to accomplish in my career, and my experiences navigating through academia.
